Reveille

Maybe it isn't my imagination about more cartoon action on the teevee side. Because new players are jumping into the mix.

Production powerhouse Reveille is getting into the TV animation business ...

The producer of such shows as NBC's "The Biggest Loser" ... has entered into a first-look deal with Mechem Media ... Reveille will work with Mechem to create animated fare in the signature style of Hanna-Barbera ... First on the slate is a comedy titled "The Gloomers," about the unluckiest family in the world who happen to live next door to the luckiest family in the world. ...

Yesterday a story artist said to me: "This business goes in cycles. I don't mind the ups, but you really have to be creative to power through the downs. But what the hell can you do besides wait it out?"

TAG's goal is two-fold: to help people weather the bad times, and to organize the new non-signator studios.

"The signature style of Hanna-Barbera?"...

It sounds better than, "We'll be doing cut rate Crap"

"The signature style of Hanna-Barbera?"

In other words; not super hero redundant, sit-com bug-eyed stiff, minimalist paper cut-out ugly or CG spongy/floaty.
